Wyckoff 2021 Summer Camp Guide – Patch.com

WYCKOFF, NJ — After a year when too many traditions have had to be canceled for coronavirus safety, summer camps for kids are back on this year. The state has issued updated guidance on how these camps can safely operate during the coronavirus pandemic.

Here’s a look at the camps planned around Wyckoff for summer 2021. Click on the links for registration information:

Spring Lake Day Camp, Ringwood

Here’s a look into what the camp offers:

HealthBarn USA Summer Camp, Ridgewood

The HealthBarn camp opened in July 2020 during the pandemic, and will do so again in 2021.

“We opened Summer Camp 2020 on July 6, 2020 during the pandemic and we successfully created a negative COVID environment throughout the summer (and have continued programming safely as of December 2020) based on our COVID procedures/protocols, reduced registration and our amazing families,” camp officials said.

The summer camp is offered in two programs: one for ages 5 to 12, and another for ages 3 to 5.

“Welcome to HealthBarn USA, the only camp where you can eat, plant, cook and play,” officials said.

Summer camps with YWCA North Jersey are scheduled from June to August in Mahwah and Dumont. In Mahwah, the camp runs from June 28 to Aug. 27 at a price of $380 per week. (To apply, click here.)

From the YWCA:

“As you may notice YWCA Northern New Jersey is changing the names of our summer camps. The new names will align with our organizational values of not supporting culturally insensitive practices and allow us to more fully live our mission — to eliminate racism. We recognize that our name is key in making all campers and their families feel welcomed, respected and understood; this is a priority for us.”

Camp Wydaca, Wyckoff

The camp is back for 2021, and the “Camp Team” is busy planning for this summer, according to the Wyckoff YMCA.

“A typical day will offer a wide range of activities that encourage learning and creativity to meet the needs of every child while incorporating our weekly themes. Our plan is to have our Campers have a true “Outdoor Experience” and extra time for learning especially because of our current state,” the YMCA said.

Based in Suffern, New York, Deerkill Day Camp serves New York City, Hoboken, Weehawken, Jersey City and Bergen, Rockland, Orange, Westchester and Essex Counties.
