Westfield To Show Spooky Movies For Addamsfest in October – Westfield, NJ Patch
WESTFIELD, NJ — Fans of Westfield’s annual AddamsFest festivities, celebrating cartoonist and former Westfield resident Charles Addams, can enjoy four films to be screened at “Dudley’s Drive-In” in the South Avenue Station Parking Lot on Oct. 23 and 30.

“Dudley’s Drive-In invites all families to load up the car with their Wednesdays and Pugsleys for outdoor screenings of Halloween favorites,” noted the city. “A little bit retro and naturally socially distant, a drive-in is the perfect addition to the 2020 AddamsFest lineup.”
Dudley’s Drive-In is named after Dudley, the beloved skeleton artwork of Charles Addams that was unveiled during the inaugural year of AddamsFest in 2018. This life-sized work, drawn during Addams’ childhood, spent almost 100 years on the second floor of a barn on East Dudley Avenue before the current homeowners generously loaned it on a long-term basis to the town
The South Avenue train station lot will host four drive-in movie screenings (double check on the website before heading out):
Oct. 23, 6:30 p.m.: It’s a Halloween pajama party for the families! Get comfy, put the kids in the car, and settle in for – what else? — The Addams Family, set right here in New Jersey.
Oct. 23, 9 p.m.: The second shift is for the braver audiences, with a screening of the classic thriller Psycho.
Oct. 30, 6:30 p.m.: A second pajama party family screening will be held, this time with Hotel Transylvania.
Oct. 30, 10 p.m.: Calling all Brads and Janets (age 18+)! AddamsFest tradition lives on for a late-night screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
A limited number of early bird tickets will be priced at $25 per car ($30 for Rocky Horror), and were available at addamsfest.com starting this past Wednesday, with additional tickets to be sold in October.
Attendees are expected to follow all coronavirus-related protocols.
