West Orange Fire Department Battles Electrical Blaze – TAPinto.net

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Fire Department responded Thursday afternoon to a structure fire on Nelson Court.

According to township spokesman Joe Fagan, from units on scene, the fire appeared to originate in the attic area, and may have been electrical in nature.

The fire was extinguished by the WOFD under the command of Chief Anthony Vecchio. The home, which was vacant, was being renovated and was under construction. The building department and PSE&G both were notified.

No injuries were reported in the fire, which broke out shortly after 3 p.m.
