(VIDEO) Easter activities Saturday in West Essex area – New Jersey Hills
The Easter Bunny will be running around western Essex County for the next few weeks attending several events sponsored by municipal Recreation Departments.
His first appearance was Saturday, April 2, when he toured Roseland with officials and first-responders along with a staff of the Roseland Free Public Library, promoting the library’s Mini Golf Fundraiser on Friday, May 20 and Saturday, May 21.
West Caldwell
The annual Easter egg hunt, sponsored by the West Caldwell-Caldwell Recreation Department, will be Saturday, April 9 at at the Essex Valley School Turf Field, 1 Henderson Drive.
Registration is not required for the event, which is open only to West Caldwell and Caldwell residents from preschool through third grade.
The egg hunt starts at 10 a.m. for ages 3 and younger, 10:30 a.m. for age 4 and kindergarten, and 11 a.m. for grades 1-3.

The Easter Egg Hunt and Bunny Hop Trail is scheduled at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, April 9 at the front of Borough Hall, 140 Eagle Rock Ave., and at 19 Harrison Ave.
It is open to borough children from pre-K through third grade.
Pre-registration by Wednesday, April 6 is required. Register on Community Pass or call (973) 403-6899. Rain/snow date is Sunday, April 10.
North Caldwell
The Spring Spectacular Egg Hunt is planned Wednesday, April 13 at Liberty Park Pavilion & Tennis Courts, behind Borough Hall, 141 Gould Ave.
The egg hunt for children ages 1-4 will be from 3:30 to 4 p.m. and for children age 5-second grade from 4 to 4:30 p.m.
Participants must register through Civic Rec.
The rain date is Thursday, April 14.
Fairfield’s annual Easter egg hunt is Saturday, April 16 on the turf field at the Recreation Complex, 221 Hollywood Ave.
Participants must be Fairfield residents from 3 years old through second grade. The egg hunt starts at 10 a.m. for ages 3-4, 10:15 a.m. for kindergarten, 10:30 a.m. for first grade and 10:45 a.m. for second grade. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
Bags will be provided to children for collecting eggs, and treats will be given to each child by Recreation King Max Antonakas and Queen Adelina Linares.
