Victim In Fatal Newark Shooting Was From Maryland: Police – Newark, NJ Patch

NEWARK, NJ — A Maryland resident died in a shooting on Highland Avenue in Newark last week, authorities announced Monday.

Milan Madison, 28, of Hyattsville, Maryland, was shot in the area of 69 Highland Avenue in Newark just after midnight on Thursday. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:42 p.m., according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Public Safety Department.

No arrests have been made, authorities said.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, is investigating the shooting.
