Trump Flag Waving Rally Draws Hundreds to Verona Park – TAPinto.net
VERONA, NJ – As the final days of campaigning approaches, President Donald Trump supporters rallied in Verona, NJ to show their support for his re-election. There have been several similar rallies throughout the State during the campaign season but this was the first large-scale event in the Township of Verona.
Sam Zamloot, of Belleville, NJ, attended the rally last week and observed that about 500-700 supporters participated during the four-hour event, that began on the corner of Bloomfield Ave. and Lakeside Ave. in Verona. According to the event’s Facebook page, 404 people indicated they were interested in attending.
“I support our President for all he has done for our Country like the economy, Operation Warp Speed and his support of our military and police.” Said Zamloot. “It was great to see so many supporters!”
A video sent to TAPinto Verona/Cedar Grove by Robert Frank, who also attended the rally, shows supporters waving Trump 2020 flags, holding up signs and cheering as motorists drive by.
The event was organized by Donna Stridacchio, Harry Martin, Maya Fridman and Maria Poalillo according to the Facebook event page.
Stridacchio, a resident of Troy Hills, NJ and credited with leading the rally effort, told TAPinto Verona/Cedar Grove that they chose Verona to hold the rally because the township had a good mix of Republicans and Democrats. Stridacchio grew up in West Orange and recalls fondly her childhood visits to Verona Park.
“I love Verona and Verona Park. As a child I spent a lot of time there and my family would often visit.” Said Stridacchio. “The people are fantastic here and there was electrifying energy [at the rally]. It was great to see veterans, young and old attendees. I especially want to thank Verona Chief of Police Chris Kiernan and the Essex County officers for helping and assisting me with making this event happen.”
The organizers do not anticipate another rally before the Election in Verona. However, three truck parades are scheduled to take place this Saturday, organized by Somerset County For Trump. For more information, please visit www.trumptruckparade.com.
