WAYNE, NJ – Susan G. Komen North Jersey partnered with the Passaic County Department of Health & the Board of Chosen Freeholders to provide the local community with access to healthcare during the 2018 Women’s Wellness Expo.

“We know that if we can provide better access to quality, timely breast cancer care, we could possibly save the lives of a third of the people dying from breast cancer every year,” said Kelly E. Nagle, Executive Director of Susan G. Komen North Jersey.

This year’s annual Women’s Wellness Expo was held at Passaic County Technical Institute in Wayne, NJ. The Expo featured free clinical breast exams, glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI, vision, dental/ oral, foot screenings, cardiovascular testing, genetic testing, HIV testing and BCAT cognitive screening.

Medical professionals were on hand for presentations and informative sessions open to the public. The Expo also offered exercise, fitness advice and demonstrations, nutrition guidance, and entertainment for the whole family.

“I’m looking forward to continuing this partnership with Susan G. Komen and providing services to our community,” said Charlene Gungil, Director and Health Officer of the Passaic County Department of Health Services.
