Roselle Park to Join Thousands of People Around the World as they Dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” in the Towns …
ROSELLE PARK, NJ – People in and around Roselle Park will be joining thousands of people around the world as they all dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” as the town hosts their very first “Thrill the World” event.
Saturday, October 27, is the date when the zombies will come alive. Everyone and anyone is invited to dress as a zombie and help Zombify Gazebo Park!
The event is free but a sign up will begin at 4 p.m. at the Michael J. Mauri Gazebo Park located at the corner of Grant Avenue and Chestnut Street.
At 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. instructors from Dancer’s Pointe Dance Studio from Roselle Park will be offering “Thriller” dance lessons. So if you don’t know how to dance the Thriller – they will teach you!
At 6 p.m. the big event will take place at the Gazebo with Dancer’s Point leading the “Thriller” dance while all around the world, people will also be dancing the Thriller at the very same time.
“We are thrilled to produce this global event in Roselle Park,” said event organizer Joe DeIorio, owner of Out and About Productions. ”We encourage everyone to dress in their worst Zombie costume and even if you can’t dance, zombies, can’t either, so just jump in and have fun!”
In 2014 DeIorio and his husband Thos Shipley participated in the Thrill the World NYC event and they are excited to bring a worldwide event into Roselle Park.
The full Halloween Party Event takes place from 4-8pm. Bring a carved pumpkin to help create the Pumpkin Patch and craft for kids to illuminate Gazebo Park. Light Refreshments will be available.
