Robber Snatches Bag of Pedestrian and Flees in Montclair – TAPinto.net

MONTCLAIR, NJ – A car pulled up alongside a pedestrian walking along Glenridge Avenue, a man jumped out and snatches the duffel bag the pedestrian was carrying, and jumped back into the car on August 29, according to police officials.

The victim contacted the police and reported that while walking east on Glenridge Avenue in the area of Baldwin Street, a white sedan with New Jersey plates pulled along side of him. A male suspect exited the front passenger seat and grabbed his rolling duffel bag before getting back in the car and fleeing east on Glenridge Avenue.

The suspect was described as a black male, unknown age, with short black hair and a short black beard. He was last seen wearing a dark colored zip up shirt and blue jeans. There was no description of the driver. The duffel bag contained clothing and a laptop computer.
