Restaurants to take mom to on Mother’s Day: Where, when and how much – NorthJersey.com
From complimentary mimosas to prix-fixe menus, here are a host of restaurants that offer Mother’s Day Brunch to help you celebrate and honor the woman who’s done so much for you.
*Editor’s note: The Brownstone is not serving a Mother’s Day brunch this year.
Taking mom out for brunch on Mother’s Day may not win you points for creativity. The restaurant is bound to be packed with fellow diners similarly showing mom love. The service may be slow, and the room may be noisy with the wails of babies.
But, what’s a little inconvenience compared to the joy of giving Mom a day out, a great meal and (perhaps the best part) no cleanup.
“Brunch is easy because Mother’s Day is on a Sunday,” said Cynthia Pacillo, owner of Cyndia’s in Totowa and a mother of three. “Brunch is earlier in the day, and everyone’s got work on Monday. Mom can sleep in, get home early, have a mimosa, and have no mess at home.”
Here are some North Jersey restaurants offering special Mother’s Day meals on May 12, and be sure (for the love of Mom) to make a reservation in advance.
