REAL-TIME RESULTS: 2018 Livingston Council, BOE Elections

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston residents hit the voting booths on Tuesday, Nov. 6 to make their voices heard in the 2018 General Election. Polls were open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In Livingston, voters chose members of the Township Council and the Board of Education. Check back here for election results as they’re reported.

LIVINGSTON TOWNSHIP COUNCIL (3 seats, 4-year term)

With 25 of 26 districts reporting, it’s likely that the Democratic candidates swept the Town Council election in Livingston, according to unofficial results from the Essex County Clerk’s Office:

  • Shawn Klein (Democrat) – 7863 (24.41%)
  • Edward Meinhardt (Democrat) – 7803 (24.22%)
  • Rudy Fernandez (Democrat) – 7752 votes (24.07%)
  • Brandon Minde (Republican) – 4933 (15.31%)
  • Debbie Burack (Republican) – 3825 (11.87%)

LIVINGSTON BOARD OF EDUCATION (2 seats, 3-year term)

With 25 of 26 districts reporting, it’s likely that the Voices For Children candidates, Pamela Chirls and Ronnie Ferber Konner, have emerged victorious for seats on the Livingston Board of Education.

Here are the early results, according to the Essex County Clerk’s Office:

  • Pamela Chirls (Voices for Children) – 5501 (29.82%)
  • Ronnie Ferber Konner (Voices for Children) – 5147 (27.9%)
  • Todd Goren (Stability Through Change) – 3898 (21.13%)
  • Rachel Selvin (Stability Through Change) – 3847 (20.85%)
