Principal Popat Moving On From West Essex Middle School: Report – Caldwells, NJ Patch
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The West Essex Middle School community will soon bid farewell to Principal Vee Popat, a report says.
In a statement provided to West Essex Now and published Tuesday, Popat said that he had accepted a position as director of the Fine Arts Center. He and his family will be moving out of state.
The West Essex Board of Education accepted his letter of resignation on the basis of retirement on Monday, Popat said.
“This is a great move for my family as it places my children in the same area as their grandparents,” Popat told West Essex Now. “It is certainly bittersweet as I have loved working in West Essex. This is a very special place for me and it has been my privilege and honor to serve our four communities.”
The West Essex Regional School District serves students in 7th through 12th grades from Essex Fells, Fairfield, North Caldwell and Roseland.
