Police searching for missing N.J. mom, her 2 young children – NJ.com

UPDATE: They remain missing as of Tuesday morning, police said.

Officials on Monday asked for help from the public to find a missing Essex County mom and her two young children.

Gabrielle Goulbourne, 25, and her boys, 2-year-old Jasir Goulbourne and 6-year-old Saheed Baksh, were last seen at 6:30 a.m. Monday leaving their West Orange home on foot, according to an alert from the township.

Gabrielle Goulbourne does not have a vehicle, officials said in a statement. The mother and children possibly left with a Mickey Mouse stroller.

Police described the mom as 5-feet 1-inch, tall, about 100 pounds with a light complexion, medium build, and her hair recently cut in a Mohawk style.

Saheed was described as black, with low-cut hair who was last seen wearing an undershirt and pajama shorts. He walks with a limp from an injury to his left big toe, police said. Jasir is also black, with low-cut hair who last seen wearing a white tank-top undershirt and a diaper.

“While the West Orange Police are actively investigating to find Gabrielle, Saheed and Jasir, they are asking for the public’s assistance in locating them and returning them to their family,” the town’s statement said.

A West Orange spokesman said police were not releasing more information. It was not clear if authorities suspected any foul play in the case.

Anyone with information was asked to contact West Orange police at 973-325-4000 or email jdemars@wopd.org.
