Nutley Resident Faces DWI and CDS Possession Charges after Incident on Vincent Place
NUTLEY, NJ – A 29 year-old Nutley woman will appear in court to answer charges of Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) possession charges, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), and other motor vehicle summonses following an incident on Vincent Pl.
On Tuesday July 24, a resident waved down a Nutley Police Officer to report what appeared to be a motor vehicle accident across from the township well. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a black crossover struck a parked vehicle.
The vehicle’s transmission was still in ‘drive’ and the engine was running and a white woman was passed out behind the wheel. Nutley police had to break the passenger side window of the vehicle in order to get the driver out .
Nutley police called an ambulance to transport the driver to the hospital.
Monzerrate Marrano was later placed under arrest and transported to Nutley Police Headquarters. She was charged with possession CDS. She was issued a motor vehicle summons for DWI, along with several other motor vehicle summonses regarding the incident. She was released with a mandatory court date.
