Nutley Family Hosting Toy Drive Saturday for Children Fighting Cancer – TAPinto.net

NUTLEY, NJ – For 20 years, the Chieffo Family has hosted toy drive holiday parties to benefit children fighting cancer. The 2018 event will take place Saturday Dec. 8 at their Gerard Road home from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Everyone is invited to enjoy music, cookies, and hot chocolate; and to bring new, unwrapped toys.

According to Michele Chieffo, all toys are being donated to Clara Maass Pediatrics, a Battered Women Shelter and NY Presbyterian Pediatric Cancer Center.

This is an outdoor event, so dress warmly. Past attendees report that children love the event. Our sources tell us that many Nutley children beg their parents to go shopping Saturday morning so that they can pick out a toy for another kid.

The Chieffo’s home is located at 38 Gerard Road.

TAPinto Nutley’s informant tells us that the Santa himself will swoop into Nutley for the event.
