“This is an extremely dangerous disease, and it is still very much with us in our community even as our cases decline. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of all those we have lost to this insidious virus,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Across the state, we are in a much better position than we were just a few short months ago, but that does not mean that this war is over. If we do not vigilantly practice social distancing, mask wearing, and other proactive measures to prevent the spread, we will see an increase in cases. Just like other states that are now seeing spikes of COVID-19 transmission, we could find ourselves moving in the wrong direction if we let our guards down.”
The Department of Health is announcing 19 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,300 confirmed resident cases and 475 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 7,591 in our 56 long-term care facilities.
