This Week in Golf previews key New Jersey events, lists the June schedule and shows results, including Trevor Randolph of Arcola CC making history.

NJPGA Charity Clambake

June 11-13; at Rumson CC, Rumson

Storyline: Defending champion Grant Sturgeon of Arcola CC is among approximately 100 club pros competing in this 54-hole major sponsored by the New Jersey Section PGA. The cast of entries also includes the 2016 titlist, Bill Hook of Knickerbocker, the reigning NJPGA Player of the Year, Alex Beach of Baltusrol, two-time New Jersey Open titlist Tyler Hall of Upper Montclair, and Jim McGovern of White Beeches, who has qualified for this year’s U.S. Senior Open.

WMGA/MGA 17th Women’s Met Amateur Championship

June 11, first tee time 8:30 a.m.; at St. Andrew’s, Hastings-On-Hudson, N.Y.

Storyline: Anina Ku of New Jersey National and Eunice Kim of White Beeches are among the New Jersey contenders in this 18-hole event. Ku, a senior at Ridge High, was runner-up at last month’s NJSIAA Girls Championship. The cast of Garden State notables also includes Helen Bernstein and Kelsey Solan.

NJSGA Amateur qualifier

June 12, tees times 7:30 a.m. to 1:25 p.m.; at Watchung Valley GC, Watchung

Storyline: Collegian John Felitto of Echo Lake is among more than 100 golfers competing in this third and final qualifier for the New Jersey State Golf Association Amateur Championship. Felitto tied for seventh last year. The roster of notables also includes Niall Handley of Essex Fells, Jason Bataille of Copper Hill, Chester Patterson of NJSGA eClub, Gregg Angelillo of Baltusrol, and the Fiddler’s Elbow duo of Justin Lankler and Brendan Davis. The 117th Amateur is July 10-12 at Echo Lake in Westfield.

MGA 71st Public Links Championship 

June 13, first tee time 7 a.m.; At Griffith E. Harris GC, Greenwich, Conn.

Storyline: Peter Kozubal and Kevin Guidera, both of MGA eClub of New Jersey, lead the Garden State contingent into this 36-hole event. Kozubal tied for sixth last year and Guidera shared 27th. The state roster also includes Clark Holle and Leo Lee, both also representing MGA eClub NJ. The defending champion is Alexander Kang, who plays out of New York’s Harbor Links.
