Since 1894, Kent Place has graced the landscape of Summit, N.J. and since then, with this year being the 125th anniversary of the school, many talented athletes and great coaches have done special things while passing through.

But who are the greatest four ever from the Union County school?

That is where you come in. NJ Advance Media has compiled a list in this slideshow and you get to vote on who should be carved into the Dragons’ Mount Rushmore at the end!

The rules and important information – The idea of this project is simple. If there were a Mount Rushmore for Kent Place athletics, who would be the four faces?

• The 26 athletes and coaches were chosen based on overall impact in their sports. Information was compiled through research by NJ Advance Media as well as input from the Kent Place athletic department, the athletes themselves and fans.

• The voting opens Tuesday, July 30 at 9:30 a.m. and will end Monday, August 5 at noon. The four athletes and/or coaches with the most votes were will be chosen as the fan-poll winners. NJ Advance Media will choose its top four as well.

Three-sport, 12 varsity letter winner in field hockey, tennis, basketball. Was first-ever Prep school girl to be named All State first team for field hockey and was named All-American in 1978. Awarded full, four-year scholarship for field hockey to University of Denver (1978-82), where she garnered eight varsity letters and captained both the field hockey and tennis teams. Inducted into the University of Denver Hall of Fame. Was head racquets pro at The Racquets Club in Short Hills and Montclair Golf Club, teaching both tennis and platform tennis for over 30 years. Currently teaching platform tennis at Morristown Field Club and Essex Hunt Club. Has won over 22 doubles national platform tennis titles in various ages groups, including a pairing with fellow Kent Place alum Sarah Krieger to capture the women’s nationals title in platform tennis in 1989. A 2016 inductee into the Platform Tennis Museum and Hall of Fame.

Lettered in field hockey, basketball and tennis where she received all-county, all-conference and all-state honors and and also served on the school’s Athletic Association. Continued her athletic career at Bucknell (1978-82) and qualified for the NCAA Tournament in her junior year. Paired with fellow Kent Place alum Bobo Mangan Delaney to not only capture 18 & under national championship during their senior year of high school, but also went on to capture the women’s nationals title in platform tennis in 1989.

Three-sport athlete was a lacrosse all-state selection while at Kent Place and continued her career at Colgate (1980-84), where she garnered All-American honors as a goalie. For the past 10 years, she has currently served as Head of School for Far Brook School in Short Hills.

Starting left inner forward for field hockey from 1987-89 and was an all-conference and all-county selection for three straight years, leading the team in goals in each of those years. Received an all-state honor her senior year. Four-year letter winner in lacrosse earning all-county and all-conference selections and was an Honorable Mention All-American her senior year. Starting shooting guard for four years on basketball squad. Signed on to play field hockey at defending national champions North Carolina at the time, but redshirted her freshman year and continued to play club field hockey in Chapel Hill. Lives with her husband, Sean, and their three children in Durham, North Carolina.
