Montclair Thefts: $33K Watches, Catalytic Converter, Designer Bag – Montclair, NJ Patch

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Recent thefts in Montclair have included watches valued at $33,000, a designer bag with thousands of dollars in items inside, a table and a catalytic converter, police say.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the following incidents were reported in the township:
- July 7 (North Fullerton Avenue) – The victim reports that his bicycle was stolen when left unchained in Rand Park.
- July 10 (Valley Road) – An employee of CVS reports that a female took approximately $30 in merchandise and left the store without paying at approximately 8:55 a.m.
- July 11 (South Park Street) – The complainant reports that a cell phone was stolen after it was left momentarily unattended while charging near the Sienna Building.
- July 11 (North Fullerton Avenue) – The complainant reports that four watches, valued at over $33,000, were stolen from his residence.
- July 13 (Watchung Avenue) – The complainant reports that a designer bag containing $7,000 in clothing, jewelry, and camera equipment was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
- July 13 (Grove Street) – The complainant reports that $10 was taken from the counter of the Grove Laundromat.
- July 14 (Pine Street) – The complainant reports that the catalytic converter was taken from his vehicle.
- July 16 (South Park Street) – The complainant reports that a watch, valued at $4,500, was stolen from his residence.
- July 16 (Edgemont Road) – The complainant reports that a table was stolen from her property.
