Montclair Father, Daughter Launch Band, Make Children’s Album – Montclair, NJ Patch
MONTCLAIR, NJ — A father-daughter duo of musicians in Montclair are attempting to tackle some big issues – courage, bigotry and fear among them – with their debut children’s album, “You Me We.”
Jeremy Ryan and Madison Skye make music together in their band, JRMS, which attempts to mix positivity with modern beats.
According to a news release from the pair, here’s what inspired “You Me We:”
“The album is about courage and strength, resilience, and change, which expresses emotional and mental qualities dealing with situations that are distressing and difficult while having the power to overcome both anxiety and fear. Speaking on subjects of everyday life such as education and love, perseverance, and bigotry. An album that speaks to all human race spreading knowledge and motivation to be better and to believe that one day it is possible the world can live in unity.”
