Missing Newark Girl, Brother Found Safe In Jersey City: Police – Newark, NJ Patch

NEWARK, NJ — UPDATE: Treazure and Shan Greene were located in Jersey City and are unharmed, Newark police said Wednesday. Our original article follows below.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help finding a pair of siblings reported missing in Essex County early Wednesday morning.

Treazure Greene, 14, of Newark, and her 9-year old brother, Shan Greene, were reported missing from the 100-block of South 7th Street at 2 a.m., according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

One of the children ran away once before, police said.

“While police are actively searching for Treazure and Shan Greene, we seek the public’s help in quickly locating them and returning them to their family,” authorities said.

Police said Treazure Greene is 5 feet 7 inches and 120 pounds with a dark-brown skin complexion and dark-brown box-braids with ribbons in her hair. She is likely carrying a purple piece of luggage with multi-colored dots.

Shan is 4 feet 6 inches and 80 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. (See below photos)
