•    A reminder with today’s storms and rain that if you are experiencing a power outage, please report it to JCP&L at 1-888-544-4877.  Never approach a downed power line or a downed tree that may have powers lines entangled. Always assume power lines are energized and keep your distance.

•    An update regarding the Township’s building department.  The building department will accept new permit applications.  These permits will be processed, but not issued at this time.  No new construction can be started, but we will work to make sure that the permits are ready when new construction is allowed.

•    All land use board meetings for the remainder of April are cancelled.  This includes Board of Adjustment, Planning Board and the Historic Preservation Commission.  More information will be made available shortly about when these groups are reconvening and in what capacity.

•    Township Parks are open for passive recreation only.  Social distancing is required.  This is not an option.  The Township’s Public Works Yard remains open, but the same guidelines are imperative.  Public Works employees may reduce the number of vehicles allowed in the yard at one time to help ensure compliance.  We want to continue to keep these facilities open for our residents.  Please continue to do the right thing.

•    Parents – I am asking that you continue to talk to your children, particularly those that enjoy a bit of independence, about their responsibilities in maintaining social distancing to fight the spread and flatten the curve.  Remember that children are not immune.  The gathering of children is NOT allowed.
