Meet 10 Pit Bulls Who Need New Homes In Essex County – Newark, NJ Patch
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The term “pit bull” can be used somewhat loosely. After all, it might mean any number of different dog breeds, such as the American Pit Bull Terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier and the American Bully.
But despite the bad rap that these breeds have gotten over the years, pit bulls can be excellent family dogs who will love you unconditionally, many animal welfare advocates say.
In honor of National Pit Bull Awareness Month, which takes place in October, here are some smile-worthy doggos seeking new homes in Essex County, New Jersey.
