Mary Holt Obituary (1931 – 2022) – Lee, MA – The Berkshire Eagle – Legacy.com

Mary Dey Holt, 90, of Lee passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, surrounded by her family. Mary was born on September 24, 1931, in New Jersey to the late Raymond and Rose Davidson Dey. She graduated in 1950 from The Forman School in Litchfield, CT., where she met her beloved husband Henry. She and Henry were married on February 21, 1951, at Central Presbyterian Church in Montclair NJ. Mary took pride in keeping a beautiful home and she dedicated herself to raising her two children.

Mary was a communicant of The First Congregational Church in Lee, MA. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Huguenot Society of NJ and the Lenox Garden Club. Mary was a board member and an active volunteer counselor for the “Turning Point,” a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Verona, NJ. She helped many people during her years at Turning Point, and was bestowed with the Nina Janssen Award from the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders in 1994. Mary enjoyed needlepointing, bridge, and traveling the world with friends.

Besides her husband, Henry of Lee, and her sister Carol Baumann of Pittsfield, Mary is survived by her daughter; Carolyn Miksch of Lewes, DE. and her husband Gary. They gave Mary two grandchildren Danielle and Brandon, and three great grandchildren Evan, Emma, and Evie.

Mary is also survived by her son; Derrick B. Holt of Lenox, MA. and his wife Victoria. They gave Mary three grandchildren Andrew, Sara, and Charlie and a great granddaughter Charlotte.

Hours of visitation are on Monday, July 25th, 2022, from 10:00am-12:00pm at Roche Funeral Home at 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, 32 Greylock Street in Lee, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory can be made to the Turning Point in care of the Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
