KEEPING UP WITH ROSELAND: Lots to do in town this month

Spring is finally here! I personally feel like this is longest winter ever with parts of New Jersey reporting snow on April 30! But so far May has been glorious, everything is blooming and blossoming as the Earth quickly makes up for lost time.

There is a lot to do all around Roseland, although my personal favorite summer event, Roseland Farmers Market, doesn’t open until June 16.

Clean Communities Day will be held on Saturday, May 12. Volunteer to restore a part of history by helping rebuild the stone wall along Roseland Avenue and cleaning up litter from Harrison Complex. Check in at the outside picnic tables located at the Roseland Library, 20 Roseland Ave. from 8 to 9 a.m. Pre-registration required. Call the Mayor’s Office at (973)-403-6024. All volunteers will receive a T-shirt and will be served a free lunch. The service will be honored by having the names of volunteers on a plaque to be displayed on the newly renovated stone wall. Please dress for outdoor work, no open toe shoes, work boots or sneakers only.

Instapot Class At The Library

The Roseland Library will hold an Instapot class at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15. Instapot is the hot new kitchen gadget everyone is talking about! Whether you are already the proud owner of an Instapot, or are curious to learn more about it, learn some recipes and tips during this informative class. RSVP 973-226-8636.

Duplicate Bridge

The Duplicate Bridge Club meets from 12:30 to 4 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays at the Roseland Library.
