Junior League of the Oranges/Short Hills Accepting Community Grant Applications – TAPinto.net

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ – The Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills, Inc. (JLOSH) invites local non-profit organizations to apply for a JLOSH Community Grant for 2019-2020. Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 will be awarded only to “Fill the Need Initiative” programs that target the communities in JLOSH’s service area, which includes Livingston, West Orange, Orange, East Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, Millburn, Short Hills and Springfield.

The grants, to be announced in Spring 2020, will be awarded to qualifying 501©3 organizations whose programs further JLOSH’s “Fill the Need Initiative.” The initiative focuses on addressing basic needs of low-income, school age children in the service area.

JLOSH works with community organizations that are dedicated to closing the gap on food insecurity, school supplies, essential clothing and basic hygiene needs. The organization believes that by helping to meet these basic needs, the community can help these children focus their energy on succeeding in school and building a more secure future.
