How Millburn Voted: Committee, School Board, President, Marijuana – Millburn, NJ Patch
MILLBURN, NJ — The Essex County Clerk posted unofficial results Tuesday night of the Millburn elections for two seats on the Township Committee, and the race for three seats on the Millburn Board of Education.
As many of the ballots were mail-in or completed on paper, the final results may not be known until later this month.

In Millburn’s form of government, candidates run for the five-member Township Committee. After members are elected by the public, the committee members choose a new mayor and deputy mayor each year from among themselves.
In the race for two seats on the Millburn Township Committee, the two Democratic candidates led the field of four candidates by far. The numbers on the clerk’s website were:
- Democrat Maggee Miggins, 6,151
- Democrat Sanjeev Vinayak, 6,132
- Republican Nic Volpicelli, 3,721
- Republican Sujoy Menon, 3,674

As for the Board of Education race for three seats, here are the unofficial results:
- Louie Shen (incumbent) (Maintain Excellence slate), 5,835
- Jamie Serruto (incumbent) (Maintain Excellence), 5,997
- Alez Zaltsman (incumbent) (Maintain Excellence), 5,869
- Christina DiCosmo (Success, Nothing Less), 3,291
How Essex County voted
In Essex County, 77.95 percent of the votes totaled on Tuesday night were for former Vice President Joe Biden, or 206,048 votes. For President Donald Trump, 56,149 votes were cast, or 21 percent. Libertarian Jo Jorgensen amassed 941 votes, and other third party candidates and write-ins drew about 1,000 votes.
For the state question about legalizing marijuana, 71.8 percent voted in favor and 28.17 percent against, or 176,159 votes to 69,092.
