Trick-or-treating has been rescheduled or postponed and won’t be held on Halloween this Oct. 31 in many New Jersey towns. The threat of rain and concerns for children’s safety has persuaded some police and elected officials to either reschedule the town’s trick-or-treating hours to Oct. 30 or push them back a day later.

These are all the towns that have postponed or pushed up their trick-or-treating times:

Bordentown City: Due to weather, the Bordentown Halloween Parade is postponed until Sunday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m.

Buena Vista: Friday, Nov. 1. In all areas, excluding Collings Lakes for 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Collings Lakes area will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Commercial Twp.: Postponed until Friday, Nov. 1.

Hammonton: Held on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Hampton Borough, Hunterdon County: Held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Harrison Twp., Gloucester County: Postponed until Friday, Nov. 1

Lacey Twp.: Rescheduled to Friday, Nov. 1.

Mantua Twp.: Rescheduled until Friday, Nov. 1

Millville: Postponed until Friday, Nov. 1.

North Plainfield: Rescheduled until Friday, Nov. 1.

Ocean City: Postponed until Friday, Nov. 1

South Plainfield: Added hours on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Normal hours on Oct. 31 are 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Upper Pittsgrove: Postponed until Saturday, Nov. 2, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Vineland: Previously held on Saturday, Oct. 26.
