Golf: West Orange Junior Wins Individual SEC Championship
Tyler Galantini captures Individual Liberty Division Championship at Maplewood Country Club
MAPLEWOOD, NJ – West Orange High School junior Tyler Galantini captured the Super Essex Conference (SEC) Individual Liberty Division Championship on May 29 at Maplewood Country Club.
“Tyler worked extremely hard all year preparing for this season and for the tournaments,” said head coach Bill Urbanski. “His hard work paid off, winning the League Championship. He continues to improve all areas of his game and is a fierce competitor on the golf course.”
Galantini shot a 72 and was one over par, or four shots over second-place winner Antoin Chouraqui of Newark Academy, who shot a 76.
The West Orange High School golf team placed fourth in division play this season.
