BELLEVILLE, NJ — In a final tuneup before the state tournament begins, the Livingston girls basketball team defeated Belleville on the road, 47-23, on Friday.

Morgan Scherr collected 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Lancers (17-5), who will compete in the Section 1, Group 4 tournament beginning on Monday.

Kayla Parsons and Aliza Gelman each scored nine points for Livingston, and Lauren Belcuore led the team in both assists and steals, with three each.
