PEQUANNOCK, NJ — The Columbia girls basketball team came away with a victory in the consolation round of the Blue and Gold Tournament, defeating host Pequannock, 51-35, on Friday.

Columbia (2-3), which jumped out to a 13-5 lead after a quarter, finished the game off with a 16-6 run to pull away from a 35-29 lead after three quarters.

Maia Little led the Cougars with 14 points and six steals. Gia Gillens finished with 11 points, six rebounds and four thefts. Kaijhe Hall totaled 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Ashley Phillip led Columbia with five assists and also made five steals.
