Free Childcare at YMCA for COVID Essential Workers – TAPinto.net
(EAST ORANGE/ORANGE, NJ) – The YMCA is now offering licensed emergency childcare for all essential workers at no cost.
This program is at no cost to families of essential workers. The State of New Jersey will confirm your status as an essential worker and approve you for emergency child care that is at no cost to you.

You will be contacted by one of the state’s Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies within two business days to discuss the next steps. Additional documents may be requested from the State.
Families can register for days as needed. Y accepts Programs for Parents subsidies.
Children in care will enjoy activities in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), virtual learning assistance, physical fitness, and help with e-learning assignments. Families provide their own labeled meals and snacks, and children who have remote school assignments can bring their own electronic devices such as a tablet or laptop.
YMCA staff is trained and certified to provide your child with the safest experience possible.
