Fortgang Wins Key Endorsement – My veronanj
Laura Fortgang, the Democratic challenger for New Jersey state Assembly in the 26th Legislative District, has been endorsed by New Jersey Working Families Alliance, an independent grassroots organization that advocates for economic and social justice for working families.
The New Jersey Working Families Alliance fights for a government that represents the needs and values of working families, organizes campaigns to advance progressive policies and works to elect candidates who share the values of New Jersey’s working families.
“Being endorsed by New Jersey Working Families represents a constant reminder that public service means working to make life better for the many, not just the few,” Fortgang said. I am proud to receive this recognition and look forward to working hard for NJ families in Trenton,” she said.
Fortgang, who was raised in New Providence, is a 24-year resident of Verona. An internationally recognized business consultant and executive coach, Laura has worked with organizations such as Novartis and NASA to guide them through difficult transitions and re-establish effective communication. She is a best-selling author and sought-after public speaker. As the mother of three children, Fortgang has balanced the demands of running her own business with being a tireless volunteer with the Verona school district, taking on every volunteer role from class parent to president of the music boosters. Fortgang currently serves as the chairwoman of the Verona Democratic Committee.
