MAPLEWOOD, NJ — As a Maplewood resident (and Montclair elementary school teacher) deals with her recurring cancer, a neighbor set up a flash mob for the holidays near her home last week.
The neighbor’s sister wrote on Twitter on Wednesday:
i’m so blown away. my amazing sister Bonnie organized this Christmas flashmob for her friend/neighbor Melissa Hodgins in Maplewood, NJ, a former 4th grade teacher ongoing treatment for ovarian cancer with multiple recurrences. this is what it’s all about ❤️🎄

The friend says in a video that it took two months organize her and Melissa’s friends to pull off the event.
