Flash Flooding Strands Drivers on Rt. 46

CEDAR GROVE/LITTLE FALLS, NJ – Flash flooding on Saturday afternoon stranded drivers on Rt. 46 in Little Falls/Woodland Park and beyond.

According to reports, flooding near Browertown Road forced the closure of Rt. 46 leaving drivers stuck with no way to exit the highway.  As of 7:20 p.m. drivers reported they were still stranded.

Flooding was so bad that Jeeps from a dealership on Rt. 46 in Wayne were taken down the river and were banging into the bridge that crosses it on the highway.
