Federal Judges Husband, Son Shot At North Brunswick Home: Report – South Brunswick, NJ Patch

The husband and son of a federal judge were shot at their home in New Jersey on Sunday, law enforcement sources told NJ Advance Media and NBC4 New York.

Mark Anderl, 63, husband of U.S. District Judge Esther Salas, and their son, Daniel, 20, were wounded in the shooting at their home in North Brunswick, according to NJ Advance Media.

Anderl served as an assistant prosecutor in Essex County and now is prominent criminal defense attorney. Salas is the Newark-based federal judge who presided over the convictions of Real Housewives stars Joe and Teresa Giudice.

Law enforcement officials told NBC4 New York that a gunman shot Salas’s spouse and child at their North Brunswick home around 5 p.m. Sunday. Both are in very critical condition.
