Essex County Summer Concert Series Continues in August
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ – Though Mother Nature has not made it easy, the 2018 Essex County Free Summer Music Series will continue through August. Upcoming concerts feature International Food and Music Festival, Latino Festival, Kennedy Dancers and Alex Bugnon.
“Our Free Concert Series offers a diverse lineup of performers who will take center stage in venues throughout our historic Essex County Park System. Pack a blanket, enjoy the cool evening breeze and dance to the sounds of classical, rock and roll, jazz, big band, Latin and more,” County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo said.
International Food and Music Festival
The International Food and Music Festival will be held in Ivy Hill Park and showcase art exhibits, music, food from all ove the world, and child-friendly activities.

Latino Festival
The Latino Festival will be held n Essex County Monte Irvin Orange Park and will showcase performances, music, and food that are characteristic of the Latin American community. The Latino Festival will be held as follows:

Kennedy Dancers
Founded in 1976 by Diane Dragone, the Kennedy Dancers are a Jersey City-based professional, American dance company that strives to bring dance opportunities to low-income and at-risk teens. Students learn ballet, modern, tap, hip-hop, ethnic dance and more, and are provided with scholarship opportunities. Dragone and contributing choreographers Bong Dizon and Eli Cano place an emphasis on raising awareness about the talents of women and minority dancers. The Kennedy Dancers will perform as follows:

Jazz under the Stars featuring Alex Bugnon
The Essex County Summer Concert Series continues with a jazz concert by Alex Bugnon. Postponed earlier in the summer because of rain, his performance will be held as follows:

The SummerMusic Concert Series is being sponsored by Rose Squared Productions, The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey and TD Bank. The series is also made possible, in part, by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State.
Concerts are held at accessible sites. Persons who require special accommodations or assistance are asked to call at least two weeks prior to the concert to alert staff as to their needs.
