Essex County Senior Farmers Market Voucher Program comes to Nutley this Sunday

The Nutley Farmers Market is pleased to announce that the 2018 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Vouchers will be made available for ONE DAY ONLY at the Nutley Farmers Market this Sunday, August 12, between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm. 

The Essex County Division of Senior Services will be on site to distribute $25.00 worth of vouchers (in $5.00 increments) to eligible seniors. The Nutley Farmers Market has received a grant that will enable the Market to double those vouchers. All eligible seniors, 60+ years of age, will receive a total of $50.00 in vouchers to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables for the 2018 season. Applicants should be prepared to produce valid photo identification, as well as proof of income (Social Security Award Letter and/or Bank Statement) and proof of residency such as a utility bill, rent or mortgage statement. Income Eligibility requirements: $1,872.00 monthly or less, or $936.00/bi-weekly or less.
