Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo dedicates Frank A. Cocchiola Playground in Nutley
Nutley, NJ – Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. dedicated the Frank A. Cocchiola Playground in Essex County Yanticaw Park on Tuesday, July 17.
The playground was redone with new apparatus and a rubberized safety surface as part of DiVincenzo’s ongoing initiative to ensure parks facilities are up to date and able to meet the needs of the community. The old playground was one of the first parks revitalization projects undertaken by the County Executive when he took office in 2003. Because of regular wear and tear, the facility needed to be updated.
With the County Executive (fourth from right) are (from left) Aps Construction Vice-President Dan Carmalt, Remington and Vernick Associate Douglas Hopper, Freeholder Leonard Luciano, Freeholder Carlos Pomares, Chief of Staff Philip B. Alagia, Frank A. Cocchiola holding his grandson Salvatore, former Nutley Mayor Joanne Cocchiola, Nutley Mayor Joseph Scarpelli, Bloomfield Mayor Michael Venezia and a host of other family members and friends.
