Essex County Budget Hearing Goes Virtual Amid Coronavirus – Belleville, NJ Patch
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold a virtual public hearing on the proposed county budget on Wednesday, April 15.
The hearing – which will only be available to the public online due to the coronavirus crisis – will take place at 3 p.m. at the Hall of Records in Newark. It was originally slated to take place at the Nutley Town Hall.
Public comment will be accepted via a special telephone conference line. The number is 1-929-205-6099. The pass code is 96563304501.
Comments or questions can also be submitted to the Clerk of the Board at ddavisford@freeholders.essexcountynj.org. The Clerk of the Board will read questions/comments on the record during the public comment portion of the meeting. Residents should submit their name, address, email address and state their question or comment. Submissions will be accepted until 2:30 p.m. on the day of the meeting.
