Egg Harbor Township: Three Bad Accidents in Two Days, Three Killed – wpgtalkradio.com

For the third time in two days, there was another bad accident in Egg Harbor Township.

The most recent crash was on Friday and reported by the Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company on Facebook. They said their members responded to an accident on the northbound side of the Garden State Parkway near mile marker 37.7. Specific details were not reported, but according to their post, it was a roll-over crash with entrapment and, “all patients were removed from the vehicle with non life threatening injuries.”

The day before, three people died within a matter of hours in two separate accidents.

In the first crash, at about 11:45 Thursday morning, EHT cops responded to Zion Road and Central Avenue in Bargaintown. There, 54-year-old Joseph Falcone of Egg Harbor Township, a retired Atlantic City Police Officer, was killed. Police said, “a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle, that was being operated by [Falcone] … was travelling west on Zion Road when a 2012 Ford F450 truck, operated by William Wellington, 39 years of age from Egg Harbor Township, attempted to make a left turn onto Central Avenue. The truck crossed into the path of the Harley Motorcycle and there was a serious crash.” Falcone was pronounced dead at the scene.

Less than two hours later at around 1:30, two people from Clarks Summit, PA, were killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Delilah Road. In this crash, police say a car driven by 51-year-old Timothy Millett was travelling west on Delilah Road when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a SUV driven by 52-year-old John Ward from Lansdale, PA. A third vehicle, operated by 50-year-old Anthony Dorto from West Berlin, collided with the back of the SUV after the initial collision. Millett and his passenger, 35-year-old Sara Hutchison, were taken to AtlantiCare Trauma Center in Atlantic City where they were both pronounced dead shortly after arriving. Ward and Dorto were taken to hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

In the words of the Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company, as always, “drive with caution.”
