East Orange Dads Celebrate Take Your Child To School Day – TAPinto.net

EAST ORANGE, NJ — Mayor Ted R. Green and the East Orange City Council participated in a father-child initiative on September 17, 2019, in conjunction with the East Orange School District. The initiative encouraged fathers and other significant male caregivers to participate and join the National Dads Celebrate Take Your Child To School Day

At elementary school across the city, men in East Orange came and were welcomed and given information to help strengthen their families. The mission behind the day was to promote fathers taking an active role in their child’s educational process such as participating in parent-teacher conferences, coaching a team, chaperoning or serving on a school committee.
