Coronavirus Deaths In Essex County: Totals By Town (April 1) – Bloomfield, NJ Patch

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Essex County has seen 57 deaths linked to the new coronavirus as of Wednesday morning, officials said.

The county’s latest COVID-19 totals – tallied at 9 a.m. – included the number of negative tests, 1,822, as compared to the number of positive tests, 2,220.

As of Wednesday, the “case fatality rate” in Essex County is 2.6 percent. The case fatality rate statewide is 1.4 percent, officials said.
