Coronavirus Antibody Testing Continues This Week In Maplewood – Millburn, NJ Patch

MAPLEWOOD, NJ – On Sunday night, Maplewood Mayor Frank McGehee said that coronavirus antibody testing will be available for the coming week, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, in partnership with Salerno Medical Associates.
Online registration is now available at salernomedicalassociates.fullslate.com or print out and complete the three required forms and bring them along with your ID and health insurance card to expedite the sign in process.
Location: 129 Boyden Ave., Maplewood Office of Emergency Management Building
When you arrive: Enter through the Maplewood Community Pool Parking Lot and park your vehicle. This is a walk-through and they are conducting up to 125 tests each day.
All insurances are accepted (private, Medicare, Medicaid). You must bring an insurance card with you and a form of ID is required. If you do not have insurance, please bring your Social Security card to be tested and there will be no charge.
The testing process is a throat swab and blood sample for COVID-antibodies, provided by a professional licensed nurse.
You can get tested whether you have symptoms or not, first come, first serve. Kids 70 pounds or greater are welcome to get tested.

Probable Cases: 9 (+2)
Total Deaths: 26
Total recovered cases: 237 (+9)

- Testing continues at Weequahic Park in Newark for all Essex County residents. Test times are from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and residents must arrive by car.

As of Monday, a total of 12,176 New Jersey residents had died of coronavirus in just three months, during a period at which people were starting to self-isolate. More than 113,000 Americans have died of the virus in that same period. For contrast, the CDC estimates that 61,000 Americans died of the flu during the entire 2017-2018 flu season.
Essex County has had the most deaths of any county in New Jersey.
