A Cliffside Park man is accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile in Palisades Park, authorities said.

Alejandro Hidalgo, 22, was arrested Wednesday after Palisades Park police received a tip that the man had “engaged in sexual activity” with a juvenile more than four years younger on Nov. 10, according to Mark Musella, Bergen County Prosecutor.

Hidalgo is charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Musella said Hidalgo was taken to the Bergen County Jail until his first court appearance.
