WEST CALDWELL, NJ — The Caldwell Chiefs 13U baseball team completed an undefeated summer league schedule with a championship victory Tuesday night.

Caldwell defeated Grit Baseball, 3-1, for the championship of the USABL East Division. The Chiefs finished with an 11-0 record in the league, allowing just 21 total runs in their 11 victories.

Grit Baseball lost just two games in the league, both of them at the hands of Caldwell, whose 13U team also went 9-3 in the separate, spring USABL season, finishing second in its division.
