Bon Jovi Traveled Back to Rock Madison Square Garden
NEW YORK, NY – Bon Jovi, fresh from the Induction Ceremony at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, rocked Madison Square Gardens last night.
“This House is not for Sale” tour is still running strong since its launch on Feb. 8, 2017 in Greenville, S.C. The band continued on for over sixty dates, including two stops in New York City and one in Newark (check out our backstage coverage).
This tour is special for a number of reasons.
First, Phil X and Hugh Malcom were officicially made members of the band. Hugh recorded with Bon Jovi on their debut album in 1984 and has been an unofficial member since 1994. Phil X joined in 2013 and officially replaces Richie Sambora.
Second, the tour commemorates the 30th anniversary of the release of the album, “New Jersey”.
Third, the tour featured New Jersey bands as their opening acts. Caldwell’s The Revel and East Brunswick’s Bobby Mahoney and the Seventh Son opened for the Newark show in April. Asbury Park’s Williams Honor performed last night in Madison Square Gardens. Tonight New York’s Tempt will open.
Lastly, did we mention that the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
