Belleville Sets Up Special Mailboxes for Kids to Send Letters to Santa – TAPinto.net

BELLEVILLE, NJ – Do you know any good little girls or boys hoping to ask Santa Claus for something special, but just need an easy way to connect with the big guy?

Fear not. There are now three special Santa mailboxes placed across the Township where kids of all ages can dash off a letter to Santa Clause at the North Pole.

These mailboxes play a particularly important role in reaching Santa Claus this holiday season, considering all the social distancing measures that have been enacted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

Among other safety guidelines, New Jersey Department of Health officials earlier this week recommended that children forgo the time-honored tradition of sitting on Santa Claus’ lap this year to avoid the possibility of coronavirus spread.

All Belleville children – both naughty and nice – can plead their cases to Santa from three convenient mailbox locations:

  • Belleville Town Hall, 152 Washington Ave.
  • Belleville Public Library, 221 Washington Ave.
  • Silver Lake Firehouse located at 134 Franklin St.

All letters should include a return address to ensure a prompt response letter from Santa.

Also, all letters should be received by Thursday, Dec. 18. Sorry for the tight deadline, but Santa is very busy at the moment.
