Atlantic Health Donates AED to DePaul Catholic – TAPinto.net

MORRISTOWN, NJ – Atlantic Sports Health and the Atlantic Health System Sports Cardiology Program donated an automated external defibrillator (AED) — a portable device that instructs users to deliver an electric shock to get a heart beating normally after a cardiac event—to DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, New Jersey. Last week, Morristown Medical Center President Trish O’Keefe, was recognized by the school with their Distinguished Alumni Award.

Atlantic Health System is dedicated to building healthier communities and in 2017 created Project Heartbeat to empower communities with the training, equipment, and confidence necessary to respond to cardiac emergencies and potentially save lives.

To date, Atlantic Health System has donated over 25 AEDs to schools, community groups, and town recreations.
