All The Fireworks – MyVeronaNJ – My veronanj

It’s that time of year: The time for fireworks in Verona and all around our area. The celebrations of Independence Day kick off tonight, and continue all through the Fourth of July.

Friday, June 28: New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and Essex County fireworks display. Branch Brook Park, Great Lawn. 7:30 p.m. In case of rain, the concert will be relocated the Cathedral Basilica in Newark and the fireworks will be rescheduled at a later date. Free.

Sunday, June 30: Cedar Grove fireworks. Panther Park turf field. 7-9:30 p.m. Donation suggested. Live DJ, fake tattoos, fFood, glow items and more. No camping-style chairs or food permitted on Panther Park turf field. No parking in the top parking lot (by concession stand) prior to 7 p.m.

Monday, July 1: Verona fireworks. On the fields behind the Verona Community Center. Entertainment begins at 7 p.m.; fireworks at dusk. Seating on Liberty Field for blankets and beach chairs only. Limited parking at Liberty, additional parking in Cameco lot.

Monday, July 1: Total Soul and Essex County fireworks display. Brookdale Park. 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, July 4: Montclair’s annual parade steps off at 11 a.m. Fireworks at Yogi Berra Stadium, gates open at 6:30 p.m. $5 per person, free for children under five. July 4 is also the date for West Orange’s fireworks at West Orange High School and the fireworks at the Montclair Golf Club. The Kmart/Whole Foods parking lot in West Orange is usually a good place to see both of those last two. Caldwell and West Caldwell will also hold their joint fireworks at James Caldwell High School on July 4. The gates open at 7 and there will also be DJ entertainment before the fireworks. If you can’t get to the high school, there’s usually good viewing from the parking lot by the Chipotle in West Caldwell.
